Bucky Barnes X Reader (Chapter 4) Just You and Me

“Are you out of your mind?” Fury asked shocked by Bucky’s words.
“No, I think (y/n) just needs a break from all the testing, just for three days.” Bucky said standing up straight. The Avengers nodded their head but stopped when they saw the look Fury was giving everyone.
“She can’t even control it yet.” Fury spoke slowly making the words sink in to Bucky.
“Can you stop talking like I’m not here?” You blurted out standing in front of Bucky to stand up to Fury.
“I can control it, just not when I have nightmares. I can’t stop that sadly.” You said looking down away from Fury.
“I’m sorry but I cannot risk you leaving this building let alone going to a different country. It’s too dangerous.” Fury replied. You let out a sigh pushing (h/c) strands of hair away from your face. There was silence for a moment but somebody spoke up.
“Let her go to London Fury.” Stark walked beside Fury looking down at you. You looked up shock. You were surprised he was standing up to Fury.
“What did you say?” Fury turned to Tony crossing his arms.
“They can stay at my penthouse. It’s got the highest security systems and if you need to, send some agents to keep an eye on them.” Stark suggested still looking at you.
“He’s right Fury, she needs a break, we all need a break.” Steve added leaning against the wall to your left. You felt an arm drape around your shoulder; it was Bucky who decided to step forward. You wrapped your arm around his lower back under his brown leather jacket that he had grown to love since you got it for his birthday. Fury looked around to see everyone nodding their head in agreement.
“Even if you say no I’ll still go, it’s not like you can stop me.” You said smiling at Fury. Fury looked serious for a moment then started to laugh.
“You really do push your luck agent (l/n).” He said still laughing.
“So when do you plan on going exactly?” Fury asked.
“We leave Friday morning and then back Sunday evening.” Bucky quickly replied. You looked at him shocked; you didn’t plan those dates together.
“Are we?” You questioned looking up at him.
“Yeah, I’ve kinda planned the whole trip already.” He murmured to you. He started to blush uncontrollably looking down at you. You leant up and kissed him on the lips.
“Now I’m not going to miss that.” Stark said looking away.
“Shut up Stark it’s cute.” Natasha spoke up giving an evil glare to Stark.
“You do realise its Friday tomorrow right?” Clint warned. You looked back at Fury for his response.
“If you’re going tomorrow we need you to both have trackers implanted and we need one of Bruce’s new gadgets to check on your brain function.” You and Bucky both sighed in frustration.
“Can I just say I helped with ‘Bruce’s’ new gadget.” Stark noted smiling proudly.
“What does it do?” You asked to Bruce. He stepped forward next to Fury.
“It measures your brain function so if there is a strange spike in brain activity we will know it’s your new ability.” Bruce said playing with his glasses he had in both hands.
“So you’re letting us go then?” Bucky asked Fury pulling your further into his body.
“If you have the trackers and agents then yes you can go. But if anything happens you come straight back and you won’t leave this tower again until your power has been dealt with, you understand agent (l/n).” Fury said looking at you. You nod your head in agreement.

You and Bucky had your trackers placed in the top of your left arms. It hurt but nothing that you and Bucky couldn’t handle. You had a small chip implanted in the back of your head which brought back a horrible memory of how you got your powers. Bucky stayed with you through the procedure, he was surprised by your courage when having it done. One of the reasons why he loved you was for your courage, but there were a million reasons he could easily list to you.
You and Bucky were excited to get to away from all the testing and experiments and most of all S.H.I.E.L.D. They had treated you fair but since you got your powers they had acted differently towards you, like you were fragile and going to break at any time which was sadly partly true.
Even though at least two agents were going to be watching you throughout your trip, you didn’t care; you were with Bucky on a holiday you dreamed about for months. You couldn’t wait to be with him and do the things like a normal couple would even though it was for two nights and three days, it was going to be the best two nights and three days of your life.
You walked back to your apartment in the Stark Tower to find Pepper in your living room holding two large suitcases, one black and one purple.
“Pepper what are you doing?” You asked walking towards Pepper helping her with the suitcases.
“I packed your suitcases for you so you wouldn’t have to worry about it.” Pepper said laying the suitcases on the living room floor with a huge grin on her face.
“You didn’t have to do that.” You said hugging her.
“It’s fine.” She laughed.
“I packed you some stuff for you and Bucky to enjoy.” She whispered in your ear. You pulled out of the hug looking confused but embarrassed. You both laughed in unison.
“What’s so funny?” Bucky asked behind you trying to eaves drop on the whisper.
“Oh nothing, you will find out soon enough.” Pepper replied giving Bucky a wink. Bucky looked at you confused and worried at the same time. You smiled at him for reassurance. He couldn’t help but smile back.
“Now the schedule for the trip is on the table Bucky so everything is ready.” Pepper said letting you go and picking up the blue folder on the table and passing it to Bucky.
“Thanks.” Bucky replied grinning.
“You planned our trip?” You asked Pepper crossing your arms.
“Technically no, Bucky told me the places you wanted to and some surprises and I just made a schedule so you can do everything.” Pepper said standing proud. You gave Pepper another hug.
“Thank you.” You said hugging her tightly.
“No problem.” She comforted leaning out of the hug.
“Well I will see you both tomorrow morning to say goodbye, you’re leaving at eight ‘o’ clock so don’t be late.” Pepper said leaving our apartment. You waved as Pepper left the room. She was always so nice to you and was a lot of help when you got your power. She never brought it up unless you did; she wanted to help you feel ‘normal’ again.  
You walked to Bucky trying to take the folder but he held it above his head so you couldn’t reach.
“No peaking, it’s a surprise.” He whined placing the folder back on the table. You sighed not even bothering to go and try to snatch the folder. He would only wrestle you until you gave it up. Bucky walked behind you but you felt his arm wrap around your waist and pull you to the couch. You fell into Bucky’s arms which soon wrapped around you. You entwined your fingers in his as you lay on his chest. You and Bucky put your legs on the couch with yours on top of his. You could feel his heart beat drum against your ear as you snuggled into his chest. You looked up to see him looking down at you with a smile.
“You’re beautiful you know that.” He said staring into your eyes. You started to blush uncontrollably and the heat rise on your cheeks. You bit your bottom lip holding back a nervous laugh. He leant down and brushed his lips against yours. It was hardly a kiss but it still felt shivers down your spine. You sat up and turned to face him. You sat on his lap with your legs either side. You started to touch his chest and slowly move your hands up. He sat there in silence observing you. When you reached his face you touched every part apart from his lips. You were saving them for last. When you finally reached them you grazed your thumbs over the corners. You looked into ice blue eyes to see him looking back in anticipation. Bucky was fearless, lion-hearted and strong-willed. And he was yours.  You suddenly connected your lips to his in a moment of pure lust. Bucky fell back in a shock as you both fell into a passionate kiss. His hands gripped your waist holding you in place. The kiss felt like it was more needed than wanted. His warmth shielded you from the cruel and ugly things around you. Every kiss felt like it lasted an eternity. It felt as though the whole world didn’t exist apart from you and Bucky.  When you decided to lean up both of your breaths were unsteady. His eyes met yours instantly.
“I love you James Buchannan Barnes.” You whispered kissing him again.
“I love you (y/n) (m/n) (l/n), always.” He replied back through the kisses. You smiled at his words and settled your head on his chest with your hands beside your head. Bucky placed his hand around you and cradled you as you fell asleep. You needed to have good night’s sleep. You were going to London tomorrow after all.
